Privacy Policy
We value your privacy and work hard to protect your personal information. Here's how we handle data at somarivexon.
At somarivexon, we're committed to protecting your privacy under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you interact with our financial motivation programs and services.
This document was last updated in February 2025 and applies to all users accessing our services from within Australia and internationally.
Information We Collect
When you engage with somarivexon's team motivation programs, we collect several types of information to deliver our services effectively. The data we gather helps us personalize your learning experience and maintain the quality of our financial education platform.
Personal Identification Data
We collect your name, email address, phone number, and postal address when you register for our programs. This basic information allows us to create your account and communicate with you about course updates, scheduling, and program materials.
Professional Information
To tailor our motivation programs to your team's needs, we may collect details about your industry, company size, role within your organization, and current financial management challenges. This helps us recommend appropriate learning paths and resources.
Technical Data
Our systems automatically log IP addresses, browser types, device information, and usage patterns when you access our platform. We use this technical data to improve site performance, troubleshoot issues, and understand how people interact with our content.
Note: We never sell your personal information to third parties. Any data sharing occurs only with service providers who help us operate our platform, and they're bound by strict confidentiality agreements.
How We Use Your Information
The information we collect serves specific purposes related to delivering and improving our financial motivation services. We're transparent about these uses and obtain your consent where required by Australian law.
- Processing your enrolment in learning programs and managing your account access
- Sending course materials, program updates, and administrative communications
- Personalizing your learning experience based on your goals and progress
- Analyzing platform usage to identify areas for improvement and new feature development
- Responding to your support requests and addressing technical issues
- Sending occasional newsletters about new programs, industry insights, and team motivation strategies (you can opt out anytime)
- Maintaining records for compliance with Australian financial education standards
- Protecting against fraud, unauthorized access, and other security threats
We only use your data for these stated purposes unless we obtain your explicit consent for additional uses or are required by law to process your information differently.
Data Storage and Security
Protecting your information is something we take seriously. Our security measures follow industry standards and comply with Australian privacy regulations.
Your personal data is stored on secure servers located in Australia, with encrypted backups maintained in Sydney and Melbourne data centers. We use SSL encryption for all data transmission between your browser and our servers, protecting your information as it moves across the internet.
Security Measures We Implement
Access to personal data is restricted to authorized staff members who need it to perform their roles. Our team receives regular privacy training, and we conduct quarterly security audits to identify and address potential vulnerabilities.
We use firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security patches to protect our infrastructure. Payment information is processed through PCI-DSS compliant third-party providers – we never store credit card details on our own servers.
While we implement robust security measures, no system is completely immune to breaches. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your information, we'll notify you within 72 hours and take immediate steps to minimize any harm, as required under the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
Your Privacy Rights
Australian privacy law gives you several rights regarding your personal information. We respect these rights and make it straightforward for you to exercise them.
| Your Right | What This Means | How to Exercise It |
|---|---|---|
| Access | Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you | Email help@somarivexon.com with "Data Access Request" in the subject line |
| Correction | Ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete information | Log into your account to update most details, or contact our support team |
| Deletion | Request removal of your personal data from our systems | Submit a written request to help@somarivexon.com (some legal retention periods apply) |
| Objection | Object to certain types of data processing | Contact us to discuss your specific concerns about how we use your data |
| Portability | Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format | Request data export through your account settings or by emailing our team |
We'll respond to privacy rights requests within 30 days. If your request is particularly complex, we may need an additional 30 days – we'll let you know if that's the case and explain why the extension is necessary.
Making a Complaint
If you believe we've mishandled your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer at help@somarivexon.com. We'll investigate your complaint and respond within a reasonable timeframe, usually within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
Data Retention Periods
We don't keep your information forever. Our retention practices balance your privacy rights with legal requirements and legitimate business needs.
Active Account Period
While your account is active, we maintain all your profile information, course progress, and interaction history to support your ongoing learning experience.
After Account Closure
When you close your account, we retain essential records for 7 years to comply with Australian tax and business record requirements. This includes transaction history and course completion certificates.
Marketing Data
If you've only subscribed to our newsletter without creating an account, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe. After unsubscribing, we maintain a suppression list to prevent accidentally re-adding you.
Technical Logs
Server logs and analytics data are typically retained for 18 months, after which they're automatically deleted unless required for ongoing security investigations.
Third-Party Services
We work with carefully selected service providers to operate our platform and deliver our programs. These partners process personal information on our behalf, and we require them to maintain appropriate privacy and security standards.
Current Service Providers
Our email communications are managed through an Australian-based marketing platform that complies with the Spam Act 2003. Payment processing is handled by a PCI-DSS certified provider with servers in Australia. Analytics services help us understand how people use our site, though we've configured these tools to anonymize IP addresses and respect do-not-track signals where possible.
We conduct annual reviews of our service providers to verify their privacy practices align with Australian standards. Any provider with access to personal information signs a data processing agreement that specifies their obligations and limitations.
International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers operate servers outside Australia. When your information is transferred internationally, we ensure adequate protections are in place through contractual commitments and verification that the receiving country has substantially similar privacy protections to Australia's APPs.
Currently, backup data may be transferred to cloud infrastructure in Singapore, which has been recognized as having adequate data protection standards. We never transfer data to jurisdictions with weak privacy protections.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences and understand how you interact with our platform. You have control over these technologies.
Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies: These are necessary for the site to function. They remember your login state and course progress. You can't fully disable these without breaking core functionality.
Analytics Cookies: We use these to understand which pages are most visited, how long people spend on different sections, and where visitors come from. This helps us improve our content and user experience.
Preference Cookies: These remember your choices like language settings, notification preferences, and display options to make your experience more personalized.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, though this may affect site functionality. Our platform also includes a cookie consent manager where you can adjust your preferences for non-essential cookies.
Children's Privacy
Our services are designed for adult professionals and business teams. We don't knowingly collect information from individuals under 18 years of age without parental consent.
If you're under 18 and interested in our programs, please have a parent or guardian contact us at help@somarivexon.com to discuss appropriate arrangements. If we discover we've inadvertently collected information from a minor without proper consent, we'll delete that data promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We review and update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, and business operations. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you through email and display a prominent notice on our website.
Minor updates that don't materially affect how we handle your information may be posted without direct notification. We recommend checking this page occasionally to stay informed about our current practices.
The "last updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the most recent changes were made. Previous versions are available upon request by contacting our Privacy Officer.
